Release and Quitclaim (in Norman-French) by John of Caretoun of Newcastle-on-Tyne, and Elizabeth, his wife, in favour of Thomas of Strother, knight, of all right and claim they have or had over the lands, rents, and possessions which Thomas has in reversion or in property in Glendale, and obliging themselves to warrant to the said Thomas for ever an annualrent of 100 shillings purchased by him from them and existing on their lands of West Newton in Glendale.
